  1. DOOMEDIT v4.0 (works with DOOM v0.99, v1.1, and REGISTERED version)

  3. This file contains the DOOM editor which will give
  4. you a variety of neat stuff (maps, light visors, keys,
  5. health, weapons (yes!!!!!), ammo, god mode (more later),
  6. radiation suits, invisibility, etc. ).

  8. What is New (first 2 items new in version 4):
  9.  
  10. 1. FULL, thats right, FULL mouse support.
  11.  
  12. 2. Edit any character from DOOM, either from version 0.99,
  13.    version 1.1, or the registered version.
  14.    
  15. 3. Enhanced features on the "SAVE" and "LOAD" options. 
  16.    Save Game security has been added in case of itchy
  17.    return fingers. "Smarts" added in when saving, and quitting.
  18.  
  19. 4. Better explanation of how to use in "How to use DOOMEDIT" option. 
  20.  
  21. 5. More accurate measurement on Time based options (such as
  22.    the Radiation Suit, Invisibility, ...) Also they are
  23.    easier to understand when you view your character.

  25. 6. Correction made on the last page on the "How to use DOOMEDIT" 
  26.    option. (Sorry about that Id)

  28. Notes:
  29. 1. The health problem is still being worked on... Don't select
  30.    over 199% since that doesn't seem to work (It shows
  31.    up above 199%, but doesn't act like it is...) To "actually"
  32.    benefit from your edited health, you must pick up one of
  33.    the health bonuses.

  35. 2. DOOMEDIT.EXE _must_ be in the \doomdata directory.
  36.  
  37. 3. The PLASMA CANNON and BFG9000 are NOT available in
  38.    the shareware version, but are _INTERESTING_ in 
  39.    full version.
  40.  
  41. 4. Semi God Mode is activated by selecting Invulnerability.
  42.    Invulnerability is not equiv. to unlim ammo... but it makes
  43.    killing by chainsaw/berserk mode just that much safer!
  44.    
  45. 5. When you select Berserk mode, your punch is extremely powerful.
  46.  
  47. 6. Screw limits on time and ammo... As far as we know there 
  48.    ain't any!

  50. 7. Play around with it, it's fun... it's exciting..
  51.    it's the DOOM EDITOR!!!! (version 4.0) (v1 sucked) 
  52.    (v2 was OK) (v3 pretty darn good) (v3.5 better/more menus)
  53.    (v3.6 worked with DOOM v1.1 only(how lame))
